About the Cell

The Anti Sexual Harassment Cell of MTM College is constituted in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court to ensure a safe, secure, and respectful campus environment for all students and staff members. The Cell is committed to preventing sexual harassment, gender-based misconduct, and any form of inappropriate behaviour within the institution. It functions as a support and redressal mechanism for complaints related to harassment, intimidation, abuse, or discrimination. The Cell works to uphold dignity, equality, and mutual respect by promoting awareness programmes, preventive measures, and prompt grievance handling.

Nirbhaya Day & Signature campaign

On December 16, 2022, the MTM College Department of Sociology, in collaboration with the WDC, Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell and IQAC, organized an anniversary program on National Nirbhaya Day.

An Orientation on SHE – “Safety, Harmony, Equality”

The Women Development Cell and Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell of MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, in association with IQAC, organized an orientation class on SHE (Safety, Harmony, Equality) on 12th September 2022 at 12.30 PM in the Seminar Hall. Resource persons Ms. Maya C and Ms. Preeshma K.V addressed 120 FYUGP students, emphasizing gender sensitization, respectful behavior, and preventive measures against sexual harassment. The session encouraged students to contribute to a safe and inclusive campus environment.
