The Debate Club and Women Development Cell (WDC), in association with IQAC, observed Anti-Dowry Day on 26th November 2024 with a debate on “Economic Independence of Women is the Key to Ending Dowry” in the M Block Seminar Hall. The event engaged second-year students in a meaningful discussion on financial empowerment and gender equality.
Participants presented strong arguments, with one side emphasizing economic independence as a solution, while the opposing team highlighted the need for legal, cultural, and societal reforms. The debate fostered critical thinking, awareness, and student engagement, reinforcing the message “Say No to Dowry”. The event successfully encouraged dialogue and action toward a dowry-free society.
