Enpowering Young Voters

MTM College, Veliancode, organized an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) awareness camp for students, led by the Readers’ Club, Library, and Department of Sociology in collaboration with the Kerala Election Commission. Inaugurated by Principal Prof. Abdul Karim and presided over by Sociology HOD Abdul Vasih, the session featured Ponnani Taluk Revenue officials Shahul Hameed A.V. and Subhash P.K., who provided detailed technical instructions and a hands-on demonstration of the voting process. The event, which included a welcome speech by Librarian Faisal Bava and a vote of thanks by Readers’ Club President Sarfras, successfully enhanced electoral literacy by allowing students to operate the machines and understand the importance of democratic participation.
