FILM SCREENING

The Film and Photography Club, in collaboration with the Department of English at MTM College Veliyancode, organized a film screening from 10–12 November 2024 to enhance students’ understanding of literature through cinema.

The event opened with remarks by Mr. Hrithuraj C.B., Assistant Professor and Film Club Coordinator, who spoke on the role of visual storytelling in exploring literary themes. Films like Pirates of Silicon Valley, Ratatouille, The Founder, and Forrest Gump—all linked to the English syllabus—were screened.

An engaging discussion followed, where students and faculty compared the films with their texts, explored directorial choices, and reflected on how cinematic techniques enriched their understanding.

The program received positive feedback, and the Club looks forward to organizing similar events in the future.
