Department of Physical Education in association with MTM Quiz Club, MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce observed ‘International Olympic Day’ by conducting an ‘Online Intercollegiate Quiz Contest’ on 23/06/2021 for the students from various colleges under all University . The Head of the Department of Physical Education, Mr. Muhammed Shihab O K, along with the assistant coordinators Mr.Ranjin K, Ms.Raseena PM, worked efficiently to make the contest a grand success. The students enthusiastically participated and showcased their knowledge in the topic. Every year, ‘International Olympic Day’ is celebrated to promote participation in sport across the globe regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability.
The quiz consisted a google form of 30 questions.All the contestants were well prepared.The time allotted was 30 minutes. The Winner was selected by the criteria maximum mark in minimum time.A total of 84 students registered for the event and among that 41 has submited the quiz answers on time.
The thrilling battle was won by Mis.Limiya Aysha(S2 BSc Maths, MES Mampad College). The second position was achieved by Mis.Dryshya (S2 BSc Geology, MES Mampad College), whereas the third position was grabbed by Sanaya V(S2 BSc Zoology, MES Mampad College).
Along with the Physical dept Hod Mr. Muhammed shihab O K ,the Quiz club coordinators Mr.Ranjin. k and Raseena PM took part in judgement and evaluation of the contest and finally declared the winners of the programme.The programme was successful in all sense and the objectives of the programme were achieved as it helped the students to understand more about the significance of the World Olympic Day.
