The Department of Sociology, in association with Students Initiative in Palliative Care (SIP) and IQAC, organized the Kaithang – Food Kit Collection and Distribution Programme as part of its community outreach initiative. A campus-wide fund collection drive was conducted on Thursday, 30 July 2026, at 3:00 PM at the college campus, inviting voluntary contributions from students, teachers, parents, and well-wishers. The collected funds were utilized to purchase essential grocery items for financially disadvantaged families. A total of 18 food kits, each containing nine essential household provisions, were prepared and distributed to deserving families on 5 August 2026. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Abdul Wasih K.K., Head of the Department of Sociology, with the active participation of faculty members, SIP volunteers, and student representatives.
