“Kind Lunch” – A Community Lunch Programme

The Department of Sociology, in association with IQAC, organized “Kind Lunch – A Community Lunch Programme” on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at 12:30 PM in the N8 Classroom. The programme aimed to promote social cohesion, inclusivity, mutual respect, and a sense of togetherness among students and faculty members through the sharing of a traditional community meal. Mr. Abdul Wasih K.K., Head of the Department of Sociology, delivered the introductory address and highlighted the importance of empathy, interpersonal relationships, and community values in academic life. Ms. Ashitha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, delivered the keynote address and emphasized how sharing meals can strengthen social bonding and communal harmony. Dr. Rajath K., Principal, along with various Heads of Departments and faculty members, attended the programme and appreciated the department’s efforts to promote human values and inclusivity.
