The Department of English, in association with IQAC, organized the inauguration of the English Association “Literati” on 2nd February 2026 at 11.00 AM in the Seminar Hall, M Block. The programme began with a Welcome Address by Ms. Deepthi T.K., HoD, Department of English, MTM College. The Presidential Address was delivered by Mr. Abdul Karim K., Principal, MTM College. The association was formally inaugurated by Mr. Harinarayanan S., Assistant Professor, Department of English, NSS College, Ottappalam. He also delivered the keynote address on the topic “Reframing Reality: A Critical Look at Visual Media in Contemporary Kerala.” In his talk, he discussed how visual media influences public perception and highlighted the need for critical thinking while engaging with media content. Felicitations were offered by Mr. Shamhan K.K., College Union Chairman. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Mohamed Fasil, English Association Secretary. The inauguration marked the official beginning of the association’s activities for the academic year and set a strong foundation for future academic and literary programmes.
