World Suicide Prevention Day was observed at MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Veliyancode. As part of the program, an oath-taking ceremony was organized in all classrooms under the initiative of the Department of Sociology and IQAC. Teachers led the students in pledging to value life, support one another, break the silence around mental health, and spread hope and kindness. The activity created awareness among students about the importance of mental well-being and the collective responsibility to prevent suicide. The program reflected the theme “Creating Hope Through Action” and reminded everyone that every life is precious. Active participation of both students and faculty made the event impactful and meaningful.
