The Department of Sociology organized the “Red Card to Child Labour Awareness Campaign” on 12 June 2026 at Veliyancode Town to create awareness about the harmful effects of child labour and promote children’s rights. The programme included an awareness session, a placard campaign, and the distribution of pamphlets to the public. Students actively interacted with community members to emphasize the importance of education and the eradication of child labour. The campaign successfully enhanced public awareness and encouraged students to take an active role in addressing social issues.
