Remembrance Programme of SPB on his first death anniversary

Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, also known as SPB or Balu, was an Indian playback singer, television presenter, music director, actor and film producer who worked predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam films. It has been a year since legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam AKA SPB left for his heavenly abode. On his first death anniversary, Film Club of MTM College remembered him with special tributes. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Suhaib P M, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Participants were welcomed by him. Mr. Faisal Bava, Librarian, MTM College, presided over the programme. Renowned Writer and Author of SPB’s biography titled ‘SPB: Paattinte Kadalaazham’ Mrs. K P Sudheera inaugurated the function. Playback Singer and Winner of Kerala State Film Critics Award 2020 for Best Male Playback Singer Mr. P K Sunil Kumar, SPB’s childhood friend Mr. G V Murali and Cultural Activist K K Sajan shared their memories about SPB. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms Safiya Rasak (Asst. Professor, Department of English).
