About the Cell

The College Council of MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Veliyancode, is the principal academic and administrative advisory body of the institution. Constituted in accordance with the statutes of the University of Calicut, the Council plays a vital role in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the academic, administrative, and co-curricular activities of the college.

The College Council comprises the Principal, Heads of Departments, elected faculty representatives, and other members as prescribed by the University. It serves as a forum for discussing institutional policies, academic planning, quality enhancement, student welfare, research, extension activities, and overall institutional development.

The Council meets periodically to review the progress of the institution, recommend measures for academic excellence, ensure effective governance, and promote collaborative decision-making. Through its collective efforts, the College Council contributes significantly to maintaining high standards of education and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

To strengthen the academic and administrative functioning of the institution by fostering collaboration, ensuring quality education, promoting innovation, and supporting the holistic development of students and the college community.

To promote participatory governance, academic excellence, and institutional development through collaborative leadership, transparency, and effective decision-making.

Objectives

  • To promote quality enhancement in teaching, learning, research, and extension.
  • To ensure effective implementation of the policies and regulations of the University of Calicut.

  • To review student welfare, discipline, and campus development initiatives.
  • To recommend measures for continuous institutional improvement and academic excellence.
