About the Cell

The Cyber Cell of MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce is dedicated to promoting cyber security awareness, digital responsibility, and safe technology practices among students, faculty, and staff. The cell serves as a platform to educate the academic community about emerging cyber threats, online fraud, data privacy, cyber ethics, and responsible use of digital technologies.

The Cyber Cell conducts awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars, webinars, and training programmes on cyber security, digital safety, cyber laws, social media responsibility, and cybercrime prevention. It encourages students to adopt secure online practices while enhancing their knowledge of cyber hygiene, password security, phishing prevention, and data protection.

The cell also collaborates with government agencies, law enforcement authorities, cyber security experts, and educational organizations to organize awareness initiatives and promote a secure digital learning environment. It provides guidance on reporting cyber incidents and encourages responsible digital citizenship among students.

The Cyber Cell strives to create a cyber-aware campus where every individual can confidently and safely use digital technologies while protecting personal information and contributing to a secure online community.

To create a cyber-safe academic environment by promoting digital awareness, cyber security knowledge, ethical technology usage, and responsible digital citizenship among students and faculty.

Objectives

  • To create awareness about cyber security, cyber laws, and digital safety among students and faculty.
  • To educate the academic community on identifying and preventing cybercrimes such as phishing, online fraud, identity theft, hacking, and cyberbullying.
  • To organize seminars, workshops, webinars, awareness campaigns, and training programmes on cyber security and cyber ethics.
  • To promote responsible use of social media, digital platforms, and information technology.
  • To encourage safe online practices, including password security, data privacy, secure browsing, and digital hygiene.
  • To collaborate with cyber security experts, law enforcement agencies, and government organizations for awareness and capacity-building programmes.
