Program Overview
The B.A. Sociology Honours programme introduces students to the scientific study of society and human relationships. It focuses on key areas such as social interaction, culture, social stratification, family, religion, education, politics, gender studies, and community development.
The programme enables students to analyse how societies function, how institutions shape human life, and how social changes influence communities. Through classroom learning, field studies, projects, and discussions, students develop critical thinking, research ability, and social awareness.
Entry Requirements
Candidates who have successfully completed Higher Secondary / Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by the University of Calicut are eligible for admission.
