The Entrepreneurship Development Club (ED Club) of MTM College was inaugurated in November 2018 with the objective of fostering entrepreneurial awareness and self-employment culture among students. The Club is officially registered with the District Industries Centre, Malappuram, Department of Industries, Government of Kerala (Reg. No: EDC/MLP/57/2018).
The club aims to create awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship in economic growth and personal career development. It encourages students to think innovatively, identify business opportunities, and develop the confidence required to become successful entrepreneurs.
The ED Club organizes a variety of programmes such as workshops, seminars, talent hunts, business idea competitions, management sessions, self-employment training, and interaction with entrepreneurs. These initiatives help students transform ideas into practical ventures and career opportunities.
The club plays a key role in developing leadership, creativity, decision-making ability, and risk-taking attitude among students.
To contribute to the nation’s economic and industrial development by creating awareness about entrepreneurship and by identifying and supporting potential entrepreneurs among students.
To conduct programmes such as self-employment workshops, idea incubation sessions, management meetings, talent hunts, and competitions that nurture entrepreneurial skills and transform students into future entrepreneurs.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from first-year B.Com students, moderated by Ms. Farha, Debate Club Coordinator.

The workshop was coordinated by Syam Prasad A.V., Coordinator of the ED Club, and attended by 27 students. The main objective of the workshop was to teach students the process of making agarbattis (incense sticks), introduce them to the basics of small-scale manufacturing, and explore the potential of agarbatti making as a business opportunity.
The Entrepreneurship Development Club, Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC, organized a Workshop on Chalk Making on 11th November 2024. The workshop aimed to provide hands-on training to students on the process of manufacturing chalk, a low-cost and highly useful product widely used in educational institutions. The Debate Club and Women Development Cell (WDC), in association with IQAC, observed Anti-Dowry Day on 26th November 2024 with a debate on “Economic Independence of Women is the Key to Ending Dowry” in the M Block Seminar Hall. The Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club of MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Veliyancode, in association with IQAC, organized a Workshop on Paper Bag Making on 10 November 2025 at 11 AM in the ED Club Room. The session was led by Syam Prasad A.V., ED Club Coordinator, who demonstrated the step-by-step process of making paper bags.
