About the Cell

The Health and Wellness Club of MTM College is established to promote healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall wellness among students. The club aims to positively influence students’ habits, attitudes, and awareness regarding health, enabling them to achieve a balanced and productive life.

The club works closely with the institution’s commitment to holistic development by encouraging regular physical activity, preventive healthcare, emotional well-being, and healthy social behaviour. Physical Education forms an important part of wellness, and the club also introduces activities related to yoga, fitness, swimming, nutrition, weight management, mental wellness, laughter therapy, and healthy living practices.

Mission

To function as a resource centre for the overall health, fitness, and wellness of students.

Objectives

  • To create health awareness among students and encourage preventive healthcare.
  • To maintain health records / health cards for students whenever required.
  • To organize health campaigns, surveys, poster competitions, and awareness drives.
  • To conduct health walks, fitness challenges, and wellness programmes.
  • To arrange health talks using local medical and community resources.
  • To promote yoga, meditation, and stress management techniques.
  • To encourage healthy food habits, nutrition awareness, and active lifestyles.
  • To support students in emotional, social, and behavioural well-being.
  • To create awareness regarding substance abuse, tobacco, AIDS, and other health issues.
  • To render service during emergencies, disasters, or community welfare needs.
