About the Cell

The Women Development Cell of MTM College was established on 7th August 2018 with the objective of empowering women students and creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment. The Cell serves as a platform where female students can confidently express their views, share concerns, and actively participate in academic, cultural, and leadership activities.

The Women Development Cell organizes awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, and campaigns focusing on gender equality, women’s welfare, legal awareness, health, hygiene, safety, and empowerment. It encourages students to become confident, self-reliant, and socially responsible individuals.

Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th March through rallies, talks, debates, competitions, cultural programmes, and awareness sessions on women-related issues.

The Cell also recognizes and promotes individual efforts toward equality, leadership, and community participation.

“Intellectually, mentally and spiritually, woman is equivalent to man and she can participate in every activity.” — Mahatma Gandhi
