The department was established in 2014 with the introduction of three undergraduate programmes: B.Com Finance, B.Com Computer Application, and B.Com Co-operation. Later, in 2020, the department expanded its academic offerings with the launch of B.Com Professional.
The department places strong emphasis on discipline, student development, and effective governance, which remain its key strengths. It continuously strives for progress in both academic and co-curricular domains through innovative teaching methods, seminars, workshops, career guidance programmes, and skill development initiatives.

The course also provides an idea about co-operation, co-operative principles, Indian & Foreign co-operative movement, importance and advantages of co-operation and co-operative legislations to non co-operation students
The Event Management course is considered to be a part of hospitality and mass communication courses. Aspirants can pursue an Event Management course at a diploma or certificate course. Candidates who wish to pursue a graduate level certificate course in Event Management can pursue a specialized course.
This course is designed to study how consumers behave on the market and what the consequences of the various behaviour patterns are. This course provides an insight into consumer behavior and the factors which influence the behavior of consumers.
