Department of English in Association with IQAC conducted a cartoon competition named “Viverra” on the day of remembrance of Professor Tolkien, who has touched our lives and inspired artwork .Almost 10 students participated.

Department of English in association with IQAC conducted an International Webinar on the topic, ‘Motivation to learn English via online’ The programme was coordinated by Ms. Safiya Rasak, Assistant Professor, The Resource person was Dr. Prasangani, Senior lecturer in English, Department of English Language Teaching, Faculty of Social Sciences & Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka. Drug Abuse Awareness & Movie Review (Movie: ‘UDTA PUNJAB’) as part of observation of ‘ World Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Department of English, MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce in association with IQAC observed ‘World Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ by conducting an online Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and also reviewed a Bollywood movie named ‘Udta Punjab’,Language: Hindi,Director: Abhishek Choubey, Year of Release : 2016. This day aims at combating misinformation and promotes sharing the facts on drugs and from health risks and solutions to tackle the world drug problem, to evidence-based prevention, treatment, and care.

Department of English, MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce in association with IQAC conducted a International Webinar on the topic, ‘What Literature and Movies Tell Us About Pandemics’ The webinar was designed to examine the importance of pandemic literature and movies during Covid-19 period .Students, research scholars and teachers from various colleges and universities participated in the programme through the given webinar link. 96 participants registered to attend the webinar and they were provided with E-Certificates after filling the feedback form.
