Bridge Course 2023-24

The Department of English at MTM College, Veliyancode, undertook a significant educational initiative by organising a four-day bridge course for first-year BA English students. M.s Amina Melathil, Assistant Professor, Dept of English was the coordinator of the Bridge course. This program, designed to bridge the transition from school to higher education, aimed to provide foundational knowledge, develop essential skills, and familiarise students with college-level expectations.

Workshop on research methodology
The Department of English organised a workshop on research methodology on 21st August 2023 at N6 Classroom. The primary objective of the program was to provide the student with available insights into the research process, methodologies, topic selection, integration of literary theories, and abstract writing for their upcoming project work.

Industry Visit to Media One Channel Head Office
On [16/08/2023], the BA English 2022-25 batch from MTM College had the privilege of visiting the Media One Channel head office as part of their industry exposure program. The visit was guided by Hrithuraj Amina, who, along with the assisting teachers, ensured that the students gained valuable insights into the functioning of a leading media house. The students were introduced to various aspects of media production, journalism, and broadcasting, providing them with a practical understanding that complements their academic studies.
