International Webinar on “What Literature and Movies Tell Us About Pandemics”

Department of English, MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce in association with IQAC conducted a International Webinar on the topic, ‘What Literature and Movies Tell Us About Pandemics’ The webinar was designed to examine the importance of pandemic literature and movies during Covid-19 period .Students, research scholars and teachers from various colleges and universities participated in the programme through the given webinar link. 96 participants registered to attend the webinar and they were provided with E-Certificates after filling the feedback form.

The programme was coordinated by Shri John Joseph Panakkal, HoD, Department of English. The programme was successful in guiding the students on how to choose a topic for theProject work ,how to carry out research programme for project related topics and also how to prepare the synopsis and thesis statement for the project work

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Safiya Rasak, Assistant Professor, Department of English. Professor Cintia Rosana Chiquiar, the resource person of the webinar is an ESP Professor Sharjah’s Department of Culture. 106 participants registered to attend the webinar and they were provided with E-Certificates after filling the feedback form

Workshop on Writing for The Media

Department of English, MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce in association with IQAC conducted a Workshop on Writing for the Media. The programme was exclusively targeted and conducted for the media enthusiasts, journalism students, scholars, teachers, etc. to make them aware of latest trends ,tools and trends of journalism in the digital age. The guest Mr. Noufal Panangad, Sub-Editor of Chandrika Daily is a renowned orator and a debut poet, who handled the workshop by sharing his real life work experience and exposure to the relevant field.
