Blood Donation Camps

The department, in collaboration with the Perinthalmanna Blood Bank, organized two blood donation camps during the academic year. Students, faculty members, and staff voluntarily participated in this noble cause, contributing to emergency healthcare services. The camps successfully raised awareness about the importance of blood donation and saw an overwhelming response from first-time donors.

Kaithang is a free food material kit distribution program organized by the Department of Sociology, Students Initiative in Palliative care (SIP), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 13th June 2024.
The Sociology Department of MTM College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Veliyancode, organized a Food Kit Distribution Program for individuals facing difficulties in meeting their basic needs, particularly related to food scarcity. The program aimed to alleviate hunger and provide support to those in need within the local community.

The Department of Sociology and the Anti-Narcotic Cell at MTM College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Veliyancode, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized an impactful event on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26, 2024, at 11:30 AM. The event aimed to raise awareness about the adverse effects of drug abuse and the importance of combating illicit trafficking.

Dr. Binu, an Associate Professor from Vimala College, Thrissur, enlightened students about various career paths available in sociology, guiding them towards informed career choices.
